Friends of Georgia Radio

radio broadcasting professionals.
Can we help fund your college degree?
The Friends of Georgia Radio (FoGR) is now accepting applications for FoGR Scholarships ($1,500). The application process starts by filling out the form below.
The applicants must have a 3.0 GPA and be classified as full-time students at an accredited college or university in Georgia.
Applicants must demonstrate an interest in a career in the radio industry.
Applicants must also submit a 300-word essay explaining their goals and interests and why they are pursuing a career in radio.
All applicants must submit their resumes and a letter of recommendation.
Friends of Georgia Radio scholarships will not be granted to the immediate family members of the Friends of Georgia Radio Board of Directors.
The entry deadline is Monday April 15, 2024, at 5 pm. The winning applicants will be notified by June 30, 2024.
Each award-winning applicant will receive two (2) tickets to the Legends of Georgia Radio induction ceremony scheduled for August 24, 2024, in Atlanta.

FRIENDS OF GEORGIA RADIO is unique. For the first time in state history, this organization welcomes everyone playing a role in the industry, including commercial, non-profit, and college. From ownership, management to on-air talent, producers and production, support staff, digital & social media content staff, to engineering, marketing, and sales. FoGR recognizes and respects the fact that Radio requires all these roles, working in concert, for the success we’ve achieved and will continue to achieve into the new century.
Friends of Georgia Radio has received a 501(c)(3) IRS non-profit certification required to receive tax-deductible donations. Funds will be used to support our educational efforts, including providing scholarships for future Radio broadcasters.
